Magna Cum Laude

The Magna Cum Laude Diploma Requirements

The Magna Cum Laude diploma offers a flexible course of study for parents. Students may opt to follow the Kolbe curriculum as closely as they desire, including, but not limited to seeking the Kolbe Honors (H) or Kolbe Core (K) designation in all coursework. To graduate with the Magna Cum Laude diploma students must fulfill the following course requirements by using either Kolbe courses or other high school level courses:

Theology 40 8  
English & Literature  50 10 at least 20 credits (4 semesters) of Literature
History 30 6 10 credits of World History and 10 credits of US History
Mathematics  30 6 Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II or higher
Science 30 6 Biology, Chemistry, and a Physical Science.
Science Lab   4 2 years of lab work from the areas of bio, chem, or physics 
Foreign Language 30 6 at least 20 credits in the same language 
Academic Elective  20 4 from academic areas only
Visual/Performing Arts 10 4  
Physical Education 20 8  

To receive credit towards the graduation requirements, courses must have a C- grade or higher.
