Algebra 2 Readiness

Whether it is due to being weak in math or wanting to stay fresh during the summer months, this course helps prepare students to take Algebra 2.

Course Description

In this class, students will practice and perfect Algebra 1 skills required to move into Algebra 2.  Topics include, but are not limited to; simplifying polynomial expressions, solving equations, rules of exponents, binomial multiplication, factoring, radicals, graphing lines, slope, and domain and range.

Academic Workshop

Academic workshop classes will include mostly in-class work with some outside reading and/or homework. Academic workshop classes are Pass/Fail and are added to a student's transcript/report card only by request of the parent after the class is complete using this form. High school workshops will receive 2.5 credits and will receive the OS (Kolbe Summer Course) designation on the Kolbe transcript. Academic workshop classes are limited to a 20 student enrollment maximum.
