Math 7 with Pre-Algebra

Seventh Grade Math provides the student with an introduction to algebra, on a level to be used before Algebra 1 or before a pre-Algebra course.

The goal of the Math 7 with Pre-Algebra course is to develop the student’s mathematical problem-solving skills both in practical and abstract concepts. Topics covered in the course include, but are not limited to, Integers, Expressions & Equations, Inequalities, Rational Numbers, Ratios & Proportions, Data Analysis & Statistics, Two-Dimensional Geometry and Probability. Upon completion of the course, students will be ready to move into 8th grade Mathematics or Algebra I, depending on his or her readiness to move into more abstract thought. Math 7 is designed to help students develop important logic and reasoning skills that will be invaluable in future mathematics courses and throughout life.

Students should expect to have daily reading, at least one (or more) weekly written assignments, participate in class, and complete periodic exams and quizzes as assigned by their instructor. All requirements are assigned and graded by the instructor.
