Dear Friend of Kolbe,
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those suffering in our country and world due to impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19). As a school, we should continue to pray for all the leaders in our community as they make decisions regarding public policy for the wellbeing of society.
As more information becomes available on the potential spread of COVID-19, we wanted to reach out with a brief update to let you know how Kolbe Academy is planning to continue ongoing operations during this time. As a distance and digital learning school, Kolbe is not likely to be significantly affected and is committed to providing support throughout the coming weeks and months.
Our office will remain open for normal business hours, 7am-4pm Pacific time and will be available by phone, email, and livechat on our website. We are carefully monitoring all advice from local governmental and health officials and have already begun to take actions where applicable to ensure that our operations will be unaffected.
As you may know, many families will likely be affected by school closures in the coming weeks. Kolbe would like to attempt to assist those families where possible by providing resources to allow them to continue education from home. To this end, we are making available selected literature course plans in grades 3-12 for FREE download from our website. We are also working to compile homeschooling tips from our families on what they do to organize their day or resources that they like to use, that we will share on our website and blog.
As a company and as individuals, we are committed to positive action during this time. We will continue to send updates if needed as the situation evolves. In the meantime, we encourage you to follow cdc.gov for the latest Coronavirus updates. Again, our thoughts and prayers are for those suffering and for our nation.
St. Edmund the Martyr, patron against epidemics, pray for us.
Yours in Christ,
Mary Rowles, Executive Director
