Kolbe Academy is a Candidate for Regional Accreditation
August 27, 2019
For the last six months Kolbe Academy has been working towards regional accreditation. After our Readiness Review visit in June, we are pleased to announce that Kolbe Academy is a candidate for accreditation with NCA CASI, NWAC, and SACS CASI. The North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI) and the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC) are three of the seven regional accrediting commissions in the United States.
We have long been accredited through NAPCIS, the National Association of Private Catholic and Independent Schools, and will continue to maintain this relationship. However, we realize that gaining regional accreditation will be beneficial to our students and families.
While Kolbe students have long been successful in applying and being accepted to colleges, one of the many benefits of regional accreditation is that it will help open additional doors that were previously closed to students and may aid in some state grants and scholarship programs.
Please don’t hesitate to email us with any questions about Kolbe’s accreditation candidacy! We’ll be sure to keep you posted as this process moves forward.
