Online School Minor Daily Schedule Change

We have decided to build in a short break in the schedule that will allow all of our online students K-5, the opportunity to come together occasionally for spiritual life and other community activities.  Additionally, this ten-minute break will allow teachers and students with several back-to-back classes a time to grab lunch, use the restroom, or just take a breather.  To achieve this break schoolwide, it has been placed at 12 pm Eastern (9 am Pacific).  This means that classes beginning at 12 pm Eastern or later will begin ten minutes later than scheduled in past years.

6-12 Online Program Updates

Homeroom Program Restructured

We’ll be extending homeroom to a full hour and twenty minutes (from 45 minutes).  We will continue to offer study skills content and community building activities during the first portion of homeroom. The second part of homeroom will serve as a study hall for students to work together and collaborate on homework.  During this study hall period portion of homeroom, the teacher will meet individually with 3-4 students to work on goal setting and checking in on overall progress. Homeroom will continue to be an included course for full-time online students but will cost $199 for part-time or full-time flex or standard students.

New Courses

Kolbe academy will be bringing back the following AP courses for the 21-22 School Year:  AP Physics 1, AP Statistics, and AP Chemistry.
