Using Adobe Connect from a Browser - Kolbe Academy

Using Adobe Connect from a Browser

Adobe Connect classrooms can be opened from within a browser.  This method is especially useful for students who do not have systems that are compatible to work with the Adobe Connect application (which is the recommended method).  Students with compatible systems for the application can view this article for instructions on how to use the application to access courses.

Accessing Classrooms from the Adobe Connect Homepage

Log in to your Adobe Connect account at kolbe.adobeconnect.com with your username and password.  If you are a new user, you can reference this page for instructions on how to locate your login information.

Once logged in, you will see your classes under the “My Meetings” section on the Adobe Connect homepage.  To open a classroom, hover your mouse over the course’s row.  You can click either the URL link on the row, or the paper airplane icon that appears to the far right side of the row.

If you have downloaded the application, the classroom will open from the application.  Otherwise, the classroom will open in a new browser tab (if you are prompted to update or install Flash to open the classroom on your browser, you can visit this page for instructions).

Note: If you are opening the classroom from the Adobe Connect homepage and it opens in the application, the application may ask you for the URL of the classroom.  The URL is found by hovering over the blue text in the URL column.  The classroom URL will always begin with “kolbe.adobeconnect.com” and will follow with the text listed in the URL column.  So, the URL for the “Tutorials” classroom is kolbe.adobeconnect.com/tutorials/.

Access Classrooms from Schoology Course Pages

To open the Adobe Connect course directly from Schoology, log in to kolbe.schoology.com and visit the course’s page, where the URL is located under the “Information” section to the left side of the page.

If you have downloaded the application, the classroom will open from the application.  Otherwise, the classroom will open in a new browser tab (if you are prompted to update or install Flash to open the classroom on your browser, you can click here for instructions).

Note: If you are opening the classroom from the course’s Schoology page and it opens in the application, the application may ask you for the full URL of the classroom.  Copy the URL from the course’s Schoology “Information” section; the URL will be broken up into 2 lines – be sure to copy the entire URL.
