Logging In & Getting Started with Adobe Connect

Adobe Connect is heavily utilized by Kolbe’s online students, as it is the platform used for the virtual classroom environment.  This article covers the very first steps of getting started in to Adobe Connect.  Visit the next article for additional instructions once the student’s initial login and setup are complete.

Logging In

Online students receive login information for Adobe Connect via a welcome email sent to the parent’s email address on file with Kolbe.  Parents receive student login information within 3 business days before the start of the online school year.

You will use the URL kolbe.adobeconnect.com to log in to your Adobe Connect account, where you will be prompted to enter their username and password.

 

Upon your first login to Adobe Connect, you will be prompted to change your password.  The “Old Password” is the password that is provided in the welcome email sent to your parent.  Once you have entered the old and new passwords, press “Submit New Password” to log in.

Once logged in to Adobe Connect, you will be brought to the homepage.  Note the important sections, as outlined in the image and text below.

 

  1. “My Meetings” Section:  This is where you will find the list of your online courses.  You can open your virtual classrooms directly from this list. Note: If you don’t see your online course listed here, submit a tech support ticket or email techsupport@kolbe.org.
  2. Time Zone:  This shows the time zone that is listed for your account.  Instructions on how to update the time zone are provided below.
  3. “My Profile” Section:  This section allows you to change your password and update your time zone.
  4. “Logout”:  Where you click to log out of your Adobe Connect account.

 

Updating the Time Zone

It is highly recommended that you update to the correct time zone to avoid potential confusion about class start times.

To change the time zone, click the “My Profile” button on the main menu of the Adobe Connect homepage.

 

On the next page click “Edit My Preferences”.

 

The first section of “Edit My Preferences” is “Change Time Zone”.  Click the drop-down and select their correct time zone from the list.  Once selected, press the “Save” button to update your changes.

 

Requesting a Password Reset

If you don’t remember your Adobe Connect password, password reset by submitting a tech support ticket or emailing techsupport@kolbe.org.
